About St
Peter's Nursery School The Nursery is open Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 12:00pm during term time taking children from 2 ½ years to 5 years. The younger children attend on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and the older children attend five mornings. The Nursery is happily situated by the River Thames with good off-street parking to deliver children safely. There is the use of two gardens and the Nursery has a wide range of very beautiful wooden equipment and toys. The children learn to understand the rhythm of the year with its seasons, festivals and the changes in the natural world. There is baking every Monday and dancing every Wednesday. Children are served fresh fruit and pure apple juice at snack time promoting healthy eating. The older children visit the allotments to understand how food is grown, the library to nurture the love of books and there are visits to the Wimbledon Windmill, Kew Gardens, Windsor Park and the Barnes Wetlands Centre. All this gives the children an enriching experience which will remain with them. Creativity, music and singing are a valued part of everyday activity. Physical exercise is also very important and children have time to run and play freely. |
